Ridgeline Equipment Ltd. was founded in 2016 to ensure transparency and efficiency be restored in the field service industry. Ridgeline specializes in all things field service, from preventative maintenance, 24-hour emergency on call service, remanufacturing and rebuilding programs for your drilling and piling equipment such as engines, transmissions, torque converters, final drives, and hydraulic cylinders.

Ridgeline Equipment is also a trusted dealer for Digga, WORD Rock Drills, and Casagrande.

Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice

The Company

We are looking for the best, to not only grow and learn the industry, but to service the best clients, and to exceed your mechanical goals. We want you to succeed, without our staff there would be no growth for Ridgeline Equipment. Come and join us now and work out of our Calgary SE location as a shop and field mechanic.

The Job

  • The shop apprentice will be responsible to complete repairs assigned to them;
  • Willing to diagnose and learn diagnostics techniques;
  • Completes all maintenance and repair activities in a safe manner;
  • Completes daily housekeeping to ensure your work area is maintained for yours and your colleagues safety;
  • Willingness to learn and grow with a great team;
  • Opportunity to work on a variety of equipment, such as Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu, John Deere, Soilmec, Bauer, and more.

What We Need From YOU:

  • A desire to make a difference and take pride in your work;
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices;
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and a part of a growing team;
  • Ability to lift and manage 50 pounds without assistance;
  • Class 1 or 3 license is an asset but not required;
  • Ideally you have your own basic tools and willing to grow your tool supply;
  • 1st year or 2nd year apprentice.

Heavy Duty Shop / Field Technician

The Job

  • Must have extensive experience with major brands such as (CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Volvo, Hitachi etc.);
  • A bonus if you have drilling and piling mechanical experience (SoilMec, Bauer, Casagrande, Atlas Copco etc);
  • Inspect equipment for defects and malfunctions and repair as needed
  • Completes all maintenance and repair activities in a safe manner and ensures work area is clean and organized according to company policies and procedures;
  • Conducts business on behalf of Ridgeline Equipment Ltd. in a professional manner and represents Ridgeline Equipment’s culture to ensure fulfillment of company vision and values;
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.

What We Need From YOU:

  • A desire to make a difference and take pride in your work;
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working with large construction and heavy-duty construction and or drilling equipment;
  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills;
  • Excellent electrical troubleshooting experience;
  • Superior mechanical aptitude;
  • Shop and/or field work experience;
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices;
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team or alone in the field;
  • Ability to lift and manage 50 pounds without assistance;
  • Must be Red Seal or working towards;
  • Class 1 or 3 license is an asset but not required;
  • Must have own tools;
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have a minimal 2-5 year experience;
  • Be willing to travel for long periods at a time to various clients locations / sites;
  • Willing to work in the field and in remote locations;

Ridgeline Equipment has to offer:

  • Competitive hourly wages, $40 - $46 per hour;
  • Benefits package (medical, dental);
  • We will provide you with a late model fully equipped service truck if you are hired for a field position;
  • Paid Vacation;
  • Opportunity to grow with a young and growing company;
  • Opportunity to travel across Canada, to multiple site/customer locations;
  • Coveralls provided to you by Ridgeline Equipment;
  • After 3 months of employment, signing bonus offered;
